Fellow (Postdoctoral) 2 Positions
This position will assist the research team in furthering the development of the research program at NCERC; this will encompass all aspects of research projects that are currently at NCERC as well as the creation of new ones, according to funding availability and the individual’s specialization.
The individual will help the assistant director of research in the following ways: by designing and carrying out experimental protocols, training and mentoring graduate assistants and/or staff before and during the execution of the research projects, writing grant proposals and seeking additional extramural funding through research collaborations; writing reports for research agencies and research articles for peer reviewed publications as well as presenting the research result at conferences.
Applicants must have a PH.D. in chemistry, biochemistry, biology, agricultural science or a related field. Experience with biofuels is strongly recommended.
Technical skills: ability to work independently, ability to design experiments and a strong background in statistics; troubleshooting of analytical equipment; excellent written and oral skills, attention to detail.
Terms of Appointment
Full-time, term October 1, 2013 – September 30, 2014 with possibility of renewal
