Suggested Packing List

This is a minimal packing list and may not include all items campers may want to bring.

Clothing

Casual clothing and sleep wear for five days.

Jeans and closed-toe shoes for activities whe re sandals or shorts may not be appropriate.

Athletic/Recreational clothing – Each evening has a recreational activity scheduled.  Some of these activities, such as basketball, rock wall climbing, and swimming in the outdoor pool may require different clothing from the daily activities. 

  • bathing suit
  • beach towel
  • sunscreen
  • athletic shoes
  • t-shirts
  • shorts or pants without zippers (jeans and khakis are not acceptable athletic wear)

Dorm Supplies

Bed linens, a pillow, blanket, and towels are already provided, though students may wish to bring their own.  Toiletries are not provided.

  • toothbrush
  • toothpaste
  • soap
  • deodorant
  • shampoo & conditioner
  • brush or comb
  • miscellaneous skin care (moisturizers, lotions, razors, etc as needed.)

Other

Medications – Campers should bring their own medicines and notify counselors of medication schedules or other medication-related information. 

Spending money and/or change for vending machines – Camp-sponsored activities and daily meals (breakfast, lunch, and dinner) are taken care of by the university, snacks and souvenirs are not included. 

Sporting equipment, water guns, etc.  may be brought.  (There are outdoor volleyball and basketball courts, soccer fields, and a trip to the outdoor pool has been planned.)  USE OF SPORTING EQUIPMENT INDOORS IS PROHIBITED AND MAY RESULT IN CONFISCATION OF THE ITEM OR DISMISSAL WITHOUT REFUND FOR CASES INVOLVING DAMAGE TO UNIVERSITY PROPERTY.

Prohibited Items*:

  • alcoholic Beverages
  • candles, incense, or any other open flame
  • cooking devices
  • pets

*Bringing any prohibited item is grounds for immediate dismissal without a refund.
