SIUE and SWIC Introduce Reverse Transfer Credit Program

The Reverse Transfer Credit Program adds a new student-centered feature to the institutions’ existing partnership. The program allows students who have transferred from SWIC to SIUE, without having completed their associate degree, an opportunity to transfer credits back to SWIC in order to obtain this initial credential.

Record School of Nursing and Online Enrollment at SIUE

SIUE Freshman Class of 2021.Southern Illinois University Edwardsville recorded its ninth largest all-time enrollment as the School of Nursing (SON) posted record enrollment and online enrollment reached a record 854 students for the fall 2017 semester. SIUE saw its overall student enrollment drop slightly (2.4 percent) to 13,796 students registered for fall 2017, but it still lands among the institution’s all-time top 10 enrollment figures.

SIUE School of Engineering alumnus Rollie Thouvenot is retiring in late 2017 after serving as president of Thouvenot, Wade & Moerchen Inc. (TWM) since 1987. He earned a bachelor’s in civil engineering in 1972 and was inducted into the SIUE Alumni Hall of Fame in 2011.

For 11 straight years, spanning 22 consecutive semesters, Southern Illinois University Edwardsville student-athletes have finished with a departmental grade point average of better than 3.0.
