Who Can Apply?
SIUE civil engineering seniors with at least 90 semester hours and an overall GPA of 3.25 in engineering, math, and physical science courses.
You start working on your MS degree while you're completing your BS degree. And 3+2 students can apply for assistantships. Assistantships provide a monthly stipend for between 10 and 20 hours of work per week plus a tuition waiver. To obtain an assistantship, you must be within 12 semester hours and not more than one academic term of receiving your baccalaureate degree
How Can You Apply?
Apply for classified status as a graduate student plus complete the 3+2 application. You will have to work in conjunction with your advisor and the CE Graduate Program Director to develop a program plan as part of the 3+2 application. Note that you still must complete all the requirements for the B.S. degree plus all the requirements for the M.S. degree, or, in other words, courses count for only one degree.
