Dear Civil Engineering Students,The faculty and staff of Civil Engineering Department welcome each of you to a new semester. Hope you have a great first day of classes. I am pleased to introduce our two new faculty members in Civil Engineering: Dr. Jianwei Huang, P.E., Assistant Professor, earned his Ph.D. in Civil/Structural Engineering from Syracuse University. Prof. Huang was a senior structural engineer in a Florida consulting firm prior to coming to SIUE; Dr. Abdolreza (Reza) Osouli, Assistant Professor, received his Ph.D. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Prof. Osouli was a consulting engineer in Illinois for about four years working on nation-wide projects in the area of mining and geotechnical engineering before joining in us. Our faculty and staff are here to support you for your successes. Please feel free to seek help whenever you need.
