Center Manager (2 Positions)
Head Start (East St. Louis)
The Center Manager(s) will assist a center Coordinator in the overall management, i.e. familiarity with the continuum of family support services and best practices in the field, including frequency and intensity of service delivery, caseload guidelines, and supervision of staff, use of technology to effectively manage data and information of a Head Start Center. Center Manger may be responsible for supervising activities and personnel of one component, either social services or instruction, at a large site, ensuring compliance with the Head Start Performance Standards and state and federal reporting systems. Assist in providing technical assistance to center staff and assist in monitoring the services delivered to children and families
Bachelor's degree required in early childhood education, child development, family consumer sciences, elementary education (or a related field) with the required credits in education courses for DCFS-director qualified personnel required. Professional experience including knowledge of best practices in the field of Family Support, Early Childhood Development and Health Services. Minimum three years of demonstrated successful supervisory experience in an early childhood program desired. Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, problem solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills required. Experience with low income and culturally diverse families desired. Proficient in Microsoft Office and related software.
Terms of Appointment
Full-time; 11 month term April 1 through March 31; non-bargaining position. Renewable contract based on availability of funds.
