Snack Bar Attendant

Job Description/Responsibilities
The Snack Bar Attendant prepares and serves beverages and fast-food items and performs other miscellaneous duties in a food service area with friendly and polite service.

Specific duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Preparing and serving light lunches, soft drinks, and ice cream dishes
  • Taking orders from patrons and collecting payment 
  • Handling requisitions through a supervisor and maintaining adequate supplies
  • Assisting in supervising and training student assistants and/or other assigned personnel as require
  • Being responsible for banks and obtaining and making change for customer purchases
  • Assisting in supervision of cleaning and maintenance of equipment and work area

The Snack Bar Attendant may be assigned other related tasks in support of the department’s mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications
None

Additional Knowledge and Skills Desired by Department

  • Ability to pass food handler’s examination.
  • Ability to make accurate and rapid calculations in the transfer of products and cash.
  • Ability to maintain simple account records and forms.

$9.19 per hour
