Food Service Area Supervisor (Part-time 54%)

Job Description/Responsibilities
This position will supervise the operation of a food service unit; supervises and assists food preparation, set-up and break down and service within the unit; supervises and directs the work activities of student and civil service employees assigned to the area; supervises and assists in routine maintenance and cleaning; promotes good customer relations; interacts with general public, student employees and other civil service employees; promotes good safety and sanitation procedures.  The Food Service Area Supervisor may be assigned other related tasks in support of the department’s mission and goals.

Minimum Qualifications
Three years of food service experience.  (High school education may be substituted for food service experience on the basis of two years of education being equal to one year of food service experience.)

Additional Skills and Knowledge Desired by Unit
Ability to pass food handler’s examination.
Ability to perform basic mathematical computations.

Illinois residency required

Salary
13.46 per hour
