Assistant/Associate Professor, Dental Anesthesiology
School of Dental Medicine, Department of Growth, Development and Structure
The Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time tenure track faculty position at the Assistant/Associate Professor level in the Department of Growth, Development and Structure, Section of Pediatric Dentistry. Primary responsibilities include didactic and clinical teaching in the pre-doctoral program, with some teaching at advanced levels and service to the University. Independent research and scholarly activities are also expected. Supplemental responsibilities include clinical administration of dental anesthesia at on-site clinics as well as an off-site hospital operating room. Working in collaboration with other faculty, both in research and teaching, is encouraged. Excellence in teaching is integral to the mission of Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine.
A D.M.D. or D.D.S. degree and completion of a two year advanced education residency in Dental Anesthesiology is required. Board eligibility or board certification is recommended. Applicants must be able to meet the requirements for licensure in Illinois. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
