HIRING UNIT: SCHOOL OF DENTAL MEDICINE (ALTON)
TITLE/RANK: Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Associate Professor
DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES: Reporting directly to the Dean, the Associate Dean is responsible for the effective implementation of all academic programs in the School of Dental Medicine and for the development, evaluation, and modification of those programs, and other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Dean.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED: Candidates must have a DMD or DDS degree and have or be eligible to acquire a dental license in the State of Illinois. This position requires demonstrated leadership experience in administration in a dental school with involvement in curricular development, clinical education and/or accreditation.
TERMS OF CONTRACT: Full-time, continuing; tenure-track; beginning June 1, 2013
SALARY RANGE: Competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

School of Dental Medicine students manage approximately 35,000 patient visits each year at its patient clinics in Alton and East St. Louis. In addition, students offer oral health treatment, screenings and education to more than 10,000 people annually through a wide variety of off-campus community outreach events.
