Job Description/Responsibilities
The Assistant Professor will be responsible for developing and teaching courses in finance – all specialties of finance will be considered. Applications from candidates in the areas of real estate and insurance and/or the ability to teach courses across the discipline is a plus. Teaching assignments will include both undergraduate and graduate courses. Successful candidates for the position will have strong research engagement and/or publication record in finance.

Candidates for this position should embrace the Teacher-Scholar model, be student-centered, demonstrate a commitment to promoting experiential learning, and incorporate online and blended education models. SIUE is dedicated to the creation and dissemination of knowledge and as such, candidates must be prepared to pursue externally sponsored research and creative activities, engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, and to guide students in scholarly activities, when possible. Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must hold a PhD, or be ABD, in finance or a closely related field, and be qualified to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels as required. A commitment to top-quality research, teaching, and service is required. Preference will be given to graduates of AACSB accredited institutions.

Terms of Appointment
Full time, continuing, tenure-eligible appointment beginning August 16, 2018.
