Job Description
The Southern Illinois University Edwardsville School of Business, Economics & Finance Department is seeking an Assistant Professor of Economics with an emphasis in Applied Microeconomics.  This is a full-time, tenure track position.  Responsibilities include teaching, research, and service activities as well as other duties associated with academic positions.

Qualifications Required
Applicants must have a doctoral degree in Economics or related field (ABD's nearing completion will be considered.  Preference will be given to candidates with a terminal degree from an AACSB-accredited institution.)  Candidates must have an active research agenda in any area of Applied Microeconomics as well as demonstrated teaching excellence.  In addition to principles-, intermediate-, and graduate-level theory courses in Microeconomics, candidates are expected to teach Mathematical Methods and Statistics/Econometrics.

Terms of Appointment
Full-time, 9 month, continuing position beginning August, 2015.
