Associate Director for Online Program Development/Summer Session

Job Description

  • Work with academic departments, Information Technology Services (ITS) and the Associate Provost for Academic. Planning & Program Development to create and implement new programs, evaluate existing programs and monitor the overall success of Online & Summer Session offerings.
  • Collaborate with ITS and other campus units to assist with implementing an effective web presence and marketing/branding and recruitment/enrollment strategies for on-line offerings and Summer Session.  
  • Responsible for seeking out funding, working with ITS and other units to develop appropriate competitive budget models and for working with institutional compliance to ensure that on-line and summer course offerings are accurately reported to the state and national accrediting agencies. 
  • Coordinate program assessment and prepare summary reports annually (or as needed) indicating program statistics along with an assessment of strengths, weaknesses, obstacles, opportunities, proposed strategies, and recommendations and submits report for accreditation, re-accreditation, and learning outcomes assessment.
  • Communicate with other university support services (Library, Registration, Admissions, Advising, Marketing, Bookstore) to coordinate support for on-line faculty, students, and potential students in an attempt to make the entire on-line education experience more user-friendly, effective, and seamless.
  • Primary responsibility for long-range planning, development and marketing of programs, and policy implementation for the University’s summer academic offerings. Expansion of campus and on-line Summer Session programs is a strategic goal of the University.

Qualifications Required

  • A Master’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication, presentation, and problem solving skills with demonstrated competency in database management. 
  • Experience in educational program development, planning, implementation, administration, and evaluation.
  • Excellent marketing and promotional skills.
  • Demonstrated administrative experience in On-Line education.
  • Knowledge of successful Summer Session programming.
  • Demonstrated collaborative leadership skills with an ability to develop productive working relationships and foster an environment that promotes success.
  • Supervisory experience.

Terms of Appointment
Full-time, continuing non-bargaining position.

75% Local/25% State

Salary
$68,200 per year
