Office Support Associate
The purpose of this position is to support the Environmental Sciences Program, its Director, faculty, students, and staff. Primary duties include: filing – student, faculty, course and budget files; setting up and maintaining student and budget spreadsheets; managing P-cards for faculty and the program office; responding to student and faculty phone and email inquiries; mail and mailing; typing memos, GA and lecturer contracts, class schedules, travel vouchers, course evaluation summaries, thesis/oral defense assessment summaries, and key requests. The Office Support Associate position may be assigned additional related duties and responsibilities in support of the department’s mission and goals.
1. High school graduation or equivalent; and
2. Any one or combination totaling eighteen (18) months from the following categories:
(a) work experience performing routine clerical/office support work, including use of
(b) vocational training that provided a knowledge of generally accepted clerical procedures
(c) college or university course work in Office Occupations, Business Administration,
Business Education, or closely related fields
30 semester hours = eighteen (18) months
(d) college or university course work in any curriculum
48 semester hours = eighteen (18) months; and
3. Ability to keyboard accurately at a rate of 40 w.p.m.

$1967 per month
