Educard

Educard is a special community program that allows eligible community members (who are not currently enrolled for credit in the University is eligible) to attend up to three SIUE courses per term for fun and education, although not for credit. Courses available through Educard are $35.00 per course per term, but space is limited because priority must go to registered SIUE students.

Besides limited space for Educard students, there are a few restrictions.

High school students who are at least 16 years of age may take no more than three Educard courses. Also, high school students may not use Educard to take any Academic Development Courses, including AD 065, AD 075, AD080, AD 082, AD 085, AD 090, AD 092 or AD 095.

Anyone who has been admitted to or enrolled in an SIUE course for credit within the past year is also prohibited from taking any Academic Development course through the Educard program.

In addition, certain courses are never available through Educard, including online and off-campus courses, classes requiring extensive prerequisites, classes that have a full enrollment of registered SIUE students, classes in which there may be danger or in which the University may incur added direct expense and SIUE's non-credit classes and programs.

Educard students will not receive grades or official university transcripts of any kind and are not eligible for SIUE student benefits, such as use of athletic facilities, health services and others. Educard students may request a Lovejoy Library courtesy card and may be eligible to borrow textbooks for Educard classes through Text Book Services of SIUE.

Call 618-650-3210 or ask us about Educard for more information or to sign-up.
