Undergraduate Program: Faculty Mentoring

Psychology Major - Psychology Minor - Advising - Senior Assignment - Program Opportunities - Undergraduate Handbook - Honors Academy - Research Opportunities - Careers & Graduate School

Undergraduate psychology majors have the option to select a faculty mentor. Faculty mentors can provide guidance with academic decisions, preparing for graduate study and career preparation. Mentors are particularly helpful to students who are planning on pursuing graduate study or who would like to prepare for a unique career path. Normally students are assigned a faculty mentor after indicating their interest on a questionnaire administered in the Careers in Psychology (Psyc 200) course.

It is the student's responsibility to make the initial contact with their faculty mentor after an assignment has been made. If you have any questions about receiving mentoring from a faculty mentor, please contact Ms. Atkins, the undergraduate adviser, at kelatki@siue.edu or 618-650-2202.
