Patricia F. Pearson, winner of an SIUE Teaching Recognition Award in 2009, received her Ph.D. in Applied/Experimental Psychology from Saint Louis University in 2004. She received both her Master of Arts and Bachelor of Science at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. She teaches a variety of undergraduate courses ranging from Introductory Psychology, Child Development, and Social Psychology to Tests and Measures, Theories of Personality, and Psychopathology. Her research interests include decision making in death penalty cases and factors influencing the relationship between weight and self-esteem. She has presented her work at conferences of the American and Midwestern Psychological Associations.
