SIUE Programs Starting in Belleville and Centralia

SIUE is starting new cohort graduate programs in Belleville and Centralia beginning in January. Apply now to ensure enrollment in the coursework.
Curriculum and Instruction
The Curriculum and Instruction (P-12) Master’s Degree will be offered at Kaskaskia College in Centralia beginning in January.* This degree is appropriate for P-12 educators, as well as others interested in current issues in Curriculum and Instruction . Coursework will focus on such topics as curriculum development, content area literacy, differentiated instruction and integration of technology. For more information about this program, see

Educational AdministrationThe Educational Administration Master’s Degree (12 courses) will be offered at Whiteside Middle School in Belleville and at Kaskaskia College in Centralia beginning in January.*. At both sites, the necessary coursework will be available for graduates to achieve a Type 75 Certificate (principal). For those who have a Master’s Degree, the Educational Administration Program will also offer a Certificate Only option (9 courses) or a Specialist Degree in general administration (11 courses). Coursework ScheduleMost courses will be offered in an 8-week format during the evening and several courses may be offered online. In the Educational Administration Program at Whiteside, some courses may be offered using a weekend model that meets only four times during the semester on Friday evenings and the subsequent Saturdays. Other courses at Whiteside will be offered on Tuesday evenings. In the summer, all courses will be held during the day in June and early July. Distance learning is being explored as a delivery model for some classes. Both programs are designed for participants to complete a Master’s Degree within a two-year period or six semesters (2 courses per semester).
CostOff-campus rates apply. Current tuition is $751.50 and the off-campus fee rate is $169.35 totaling $920.85 for a 3-semester hour course. This represents a savings of $243.85 per course when compared to on-campus rates. Textbook costs are in addition to tuition and fees.
Cooperating teacher tuition waivers form either SIUE or SIUC will be accepted.
