Program Application - Autobiography GuidelinesThe physical education teacher education (PETE) option prepares students for career opportunities teaching movement skills, fitness concepts, and game and sport performance skills to public and private elementary, middle school and secondary students. Physical educators have the exciting challenge of imparting vital knowledge and skills that impact youth in their developing years and into their adult lives concerning their maintenance of healthy and fit lifestyles.
The Physical Education option leads to Illinois certification for students wishing to teach physical education at the K-12 level in public schools.
