Sample Curriculum

Curriculum Overview

The Bachelor of Science Degree in Exercise Science is designed in accordance with the American College of Sports Medicine [ACSM] for certification as a Health Fitness Specialists as a strength and conditioning specialists, personal trainer, corporate, community and commercial fitness leaders.

It also prepares students for advanced degrees in exercise physiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, medicine, and athletic training and certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.

Course Sequence

Typically, students will take 4 academic years to compete all general education and major requirements. For the highly motivated we offer the Accelerated Exercise Science Program in which all general education and major requirements can be completed in 3 years.
