Zhengyin Du Zhengyin Du 
Zhengyin Du is a Professor of College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at Northwest Normal University (NWNU), China. He completed his postdoctoral study in polymer chemistry in NWNU. The major courses he has taught include Principles in Chemical Engineering, Catalysis in Industry, Information Retrieve of Chemistry, and Organic Synthesis. Now his research interest focuses on the development of new synthetic methodologies for green chemistry. The major objectives of his visit include: to learn some teaching methods and educational technologies at SIUE related to his previous professional background through International Training Program in Pedagogy.
Bo Liu Bo Liu 
Bo Liu is a Lecturer of College of Foreign Languages and Literature, Northwest Normal University (NWNU), China. She has been teaching English for both majors and non-majors nearly 10 years, with students ranging from those with limited educational backgrounds at vocational college to undergraduate English-majors in university. Her major research areas are linguistics as well as cross cultural communication and semiotics. Her major goal of the visit includes: to acquire in-depth knowledge of modern pedagogical concepts and practice of higher education in the United States, which will ultimately benefit her current and future students.
Manfu Ma Manfu Ma 
Manfu Ma is a Professor of College of Computer Science and Engineering at Northwest Normal University (NWNU), China. He has taught such courses as Principles of Computer Organization, as well as Microcomputer Principle and Interfacing Technique. His research interest includes the Internet of Things and Credit in Distributed Computing Environment. The major objectives of his visit include: to learn and master the cutting-edge academic research dynamics in the area of Internet of Things (IOT) and Cloud Computing; to investigate curriculum construction experience of Computer Science Department of SIUE; and to study the teaching content, teaching models, teaching methods and means for Computer Programming Language courses in Computer Science Department of SIUE.
Ying Miao Ying Miao
Ying Miao is a lecturer of College of Economics and Management at Shenyang Aerospace University (SAU), China. She has taught such courses as Marketing Introduction, International Marketing, Service Marketing and World Economy to Chinese and international students. Her major research area is international marketing. The major objectives of her visit include: to learn new methods of professors from SIUE and to improve her teaching and to improve her English and learn more about American culture.
Deye Qu Deye Qu
Deye Qu is a Lecturer of College of Geography and Environmental Science at Northwest Normal University (NWNU), China. He has taught such courses as Environmental Monitoring, Material Mechanics, and Modern Environmental Monitoring Techniques. His major research includes the analysis of sludge from waste water treatment plant in Lanzhou, Gansu, China. The major objectives of his visit include: to improve his lecturing skills, to research the best ways to teach environmental science, to actively participate in the research team at SIUE, to build a good relationship with SIUE, and to learn the trends of professional development.
Wenjun Wang Wenjun Wang
Wenjun Wang is an Associate Professor of School of Educational Technology at Northwest Normal University, China. She has taught two undergraduate courses such as psychology and teaching methods in instructional technology courses and one graduate course--research methods. Her research primarily emphasizes educational technology, particularly focusing on instructional design and how to use information technology in learning effectively. In the fall semester of 2014 at SIUE, she looks forward to knowing more about educational technology, instructional design, and on-line courses in the United States.
Kun Wei Kun Wei
Kun Wei is a Lecturer in Music Department of Northwest Normal University, China. She has taught compulsory courses to undergraduate students related to Vocal Education. Her research field mainly concentrates on vocal music study and primary/second school music curriculum and education. Her main goal of the visit is to get to know the music teachers' training and related curriculum in the USA, participate in school activities, and improve her English overall.
Dan Xu Dan Xu
Dan Xu is a Lecturer of Physics in Department of Science at Shenyang Aerospace University, China. She has taught College Physics for both Chinese and international students. Her major research area is Condensed Matter Physics. The major goal of her visit is to identify the differences between American and Chinese culture, experience the structure and teaching style of the American university classroom, understand the basic concepts of American pedagogy and get inspiration from American teaching technology, as well as to improve her English overall.
Aimei Zhang Aimei Zhang
Aimei Zhang is an Associate Professor of School of Life Sciences at Northwest Normal University, China. She has taught such courses as Microbiology and Microbial Engineering. Her major research interest concentrates on Relationship of Microorganism and Plant, as well as the Microbial Diversity of Plant Rhizosphere. In the fall semester of 2014 at SIUE, she looks forward to improving teaching skills, enriching professional knowledge about Microbiology, and improving her English skills in speaking and listening comprehension in the United States.
Lu Zhang Lu Zhang
Lu Zhang is a Lecturer of Computer School at Shenyang Aerospace University, China. She has taught C Programming Language as well as Principles of Microcomputer for domestic and foreign students. Her major research area is about Digital Signature Scheme. Her main goal of the visit is to get the first-hand material which will benefit her construction of the professional courses of international education, as well as the set of teaching goals and courses, the control of teaching schedule, and the improvement of teaching method, etc.
Xiaoxia Zhao Xiaoxia Zhao
Xiaoxia Zhao is an Associate Professor in Department of Curriculum and Instruction at Northwest Normal University, China. The major courses she has taught include such as Chinese Teaching Methods and Curriculum Design. Her research interest focuses on classroom teaching, dialogue teaching, and Chinese traditional education. The major objectives of her visit are: To observe some courses of the graduate programs in Curriculum and Instruction; to visit some primary and secondary schools; to compare between Chinese and English language, as well as Chinese and English literature education; and to communicate with faculty and students at SIUE about the education and culture in China in general.
Xiaojuan Zhou Xiaojuan Zhou
Xiaojuan Zhou is an Associate Professor in the College of Chinese Language and Literature at Northwest Normal University (NWNU), China. She has taught such courses as the Foreign Literature History, An introduction to Comparative Literature and the Western Literary Criticism. Her research interest includes comparative literature and Victorian literature. In the fall semester of 2014 at SIUE, she looks forward to learning more information about college pedagogy at SIUE, how to design syllabus, how to clearly communicate in English to American faculty and students, as well as about how to establish deep international friendships between SIUE and NWNU.
