The Department of Kinesiology and Health Education has space in the Vadalabene Center dedicated to meeting the physical education needs of school age children and youth with disabilities. The space houses a classroom and teaching/diagnostic lab. The lab is equipped with a variety of materials for assessing the fine and gross motor physical activity of individuals with disabilities. The teaching classroom and lab will provide undergraduate and graduate students the opportunity to develop competency in assessing and planning programs. The lab also houses materials (e.g., textbooks, videos, journals) available for students interested in physical activity and individuals with disabilities.
Funding will allow the lab to continue to offer programs and support for children and adults with disabilities from our surrounding communities. | |
