Current Initiatives

Faculty in Residence Program: $20,000

• An annual amount of $20,000 will provide the faculty member with two course releases, travel expenses, instructional materials and a graduate assistant.

Speaker Series: $270,000

• Naming of the Series - $250,000

• Sponsoring individual speakers (e.g., funding the speakers’ fees, travel expenses, promotional items) - $10,000

• Course load release for Faculty Coordinator - $10,000 annually

Weight Management Clinic: $1.5 Million

• Endowed Professorate – $1 million

• Named Weight Management Clinic - $250,000

• Expansion of laboratory facility, e.g., additional exam rooms, exercise training rooms, etc. - $250,000

• Hiring of clinic staff/technician - $40,000 annually

• Graduate Assistantships - $8,000 annually per Graduate Assistantship

Cougar Literacy Clinic: $15,000

• Tuition support for 6 children to attend tutoring- $1,000 annually

• Four laptops and software to enhance children’s learning experience- $4,000

• Updating the children’s book collection and providing books for children to take home to practice reading - $10,000

Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic: $25,000

• Digital video camera and tripod, two digital recorders, digital camera, and printer ink for Children’s Language and Articulation Self Books - $2,000

• Computer (Laptop/desktop) with touch screen which runs software for Communication Evaluations (Both general evaluations/AAC) - $2,000

• Speech Generating Devices for Augmentive/Assistive Communication Evaluation – $3,000

• Sensory/Language Intervention Items, accessories, and Dress-ups for imagination play-based therapy - $4,000

• New furniture, carpeting, and cabinets for therapy rooms and Clinic - $14,000

Attention and Behavior Clinic: $20,000

• Video camera monitoring equipment to facilitate supervision of Clinic activities - $6,500

• Graduate assistant which is responsible for scheduling, ordering materials, file management, and daily activities of the Clinic - $7,650

• Two-way microphones and Apple iPod Shuffles to facilitate observations and allow communication between children, students, and supervisors – $850

Endowed Scholarships: $1 million

An endowed scholarship of $150,000 will provide one student a full year of tuition.  Endowed scholarships have a minimum endowment of $15,000.
