<p>The Educational Administration program at SIUE affords teachers the opportunity to advance to the principalship or to numerous other leadership positions in public schools.<br /></p>

<p>This program affords teachers the opportunity to advance to the principalship or to numerous other leadership positions in public schools.</p>
<h3>Educational Administration at SIUE</h3>
<p>Three programs lead to the General Administration Certification (Type 75) in Illinois and/or Initial Administrative Certification in Missouri: (1) A Master’s Degree Program; (2) A Specialists Degree Program for students who already hold a Master’s Degree, and; (3) A Certification-Only (non-degree) Program for students who already hold a Master’s degree, but do not wish to pursue an additional graduate degree. The Educational Administration programs are delivered at several off-campus locations.</p>
<h3>Career Outlook</h3>
<p>The General Administrative Certification (in Illinois) covers all administrative positions except Superintendent, Director of Special Education, and Chief School Business Official; this would include such positions as Assistant Principal, Principal, Director, and Assistant Superintendent. This program also meets the requirements for Missouri (Initial) Elementary and Secondary Principal Certificates.</p>
