Student Groups

African Student Association - To foster the spirit of understanding and cooperation among African students and others. Open to all students.

Alliance of Students Against Poverty - To collect donations for those less fortunate, raise awareness of social justice issues, promote diversity, and encourage service and volunteerism between students, faculty, the SIUE community, and residents of the Metro East area.

Alpha Omega Eta - This is a multi-cultural greek sorority. Intend to promote Pam-Africanism & also unite for the interest of women and children all over the world.

Black Student Union - Motivates black students to be more actively involved in shaping their own campus life. Open to all students.

Council for Exceptional Children - Promotes the education and welfare of exceptional children and the persons engaged in the education of such children.

Delta Lambda Phi - To develop friendship, leadership, and association among all men and to enhance the quality of life among gay, bisexual, and progressive men by providing social, service, and recreational activities.

Gay-Straight Alliance - Purpose is to provide an atmosphere of support for gay and lesbian students. Open to all students.

Hispanic Student Union - Promote language and culture on Latin based countries through activities and service. Open to students with 2.0 GPA.

Indian Student Association - Promotes overall growth of all the Indian students and promote fellowship and understanding among the campus community. Open to all students.

International Student Council - Provides assistance to international students and promotes involvement with the SIUE community. Open to all students.

Iranian Student Society - Purpose is to promote friendly relations between cultures of students, provide information and guidance to new Iranian students, communicate and cooperate with other Iranian cultures and countries.

National Art Education Association - Provides future art educators with networking, social and professional development opportunities including attendance at local and national conferences. Open to all majors.

National Society of Black Engineers - Promotes Black and other ethnic minority participation in the field of engineering. Must major in engineering.

Raise Your Voice - Raise Your Voice works to promote civic engagement i.e. actions that educate people of the social, political, and economic issues.

Society of Women Engineers - Promotes women in the field of engineering. Open to all undergraduates and graduates pursuing a career in engineering.

Students and Professors Exploring All Cultures - In order to further the knowledge and appreciation of other cultures. To further, whenever possible, the relations between American students and other cultures, and the representatives, official or unofficial, of these cultures. To disseminate information conveying other languages and cultures to the members, to the university, and to the community at large.

Students for Justice in Palestine - Support struggle for equal rights of all peoples of Historic Palestine.

Turkish-American Students and Friends Association at SIUE - This organization shall increase friendship and promote cultural exchange between American and Turkish students and local communities.

Promoting Recruting Increasing Minority Educators (PRIME) - Purpose is to promote, recruit, and increase minority education majors in the School of Education, Health and Human Behavior.
