The Master of Science in Education in Secondary Education is a 36-credit program in which you work closely with a faculty mentor to develop a program of study that meets your personal and professional goals. The program of study includes:

Teaching Field Emphasis
(15 hours)
Courses in the teaching field are determined in consultation with a teaching-field advisor in the College of Arts and Sciences. The student must complete at least 42 semester hours in the teaching field (graduate and undergraduate) to be eligible for the degree. Thus, some students’ programs of study will include more than 36 hours to satisfy this requirement.
