Why Curriculum and Instruction?

The Master of Science in Education, with an emphasis in Curriculum and Instruction, provides practicing teachers with the opportunity to develop deeper and broader understandings of the challenges of teaching and learning in today’s diverse schools. In addition, individuals who work in other educational settings, such as museums, also may deepen their understanding of issues related to curriculum and instruction. This program draws on the many areas of expertise of the Curriculum and Instruction faculty and offers opportunities for learning that can help students grow in their abilities to become leaders in their professions.
