School placements
Field placements are an important part of the educational process leading to teacher certification. SIUE works with school districts in the St. Louis metropolitan area to provide our students with a variety of field experiences.
Most field placements require an application. Please check
here for the application specific to the field placement required. If you are unsure, please check with your OCECA advisor.
While we try to accommodate regional preferences, we cannot accept request for specific schools or teachers.

Background checks
All students are required to undergo a background check prior to any field placement. Accurate Biometrics will be coming to campus to facilitate the background checks for SIUE students. Please see the following for the on campus dates, along with the correct form to be used:
