There are employment opportunities for SIUE students as part-time teaching assistants during the fall and spring semesters and the summer session.
Normal hours of operation are: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday through Friday.
Varies according to each student's class schedule.
Schedules are set for the same time for an entire semester.
Shifts may include working the same hours on a MWF schedule, TR schedule, or a Monday through Friday schedule.
Since class obligations change from one semester to the next, work schedules may change on a semester to semester basis.
The hours for teaching Assistants average from 10 to 20 hours per week.

Hiring takes place before each semester begins. (For example, hiring for Spring semester begins in late Fall semester prior to the winter holiday break.)
The first step is to visit the Student Employment web page and apply online. Follow the instructions provided to print a job referral form.
Bring Student Employment Job referral form and copy of your current course schedule to Early Childhood Center. A resume is also helpful.
