Registration Fee

A $40 registration fee is billed at the time of initial enrollment and $15 at the beginning of each subsequent term (semester). Each subsequent term the child attends a $15 re-registration fee is added to the parent's account to hold the child's space for the term. For siblings of currently enrolled children, the initial registration fee is $15.


  • Placement offers are made based on date of application and space availability. Separate lists are kept for each age group at the Center.

  • Priority for admission is given in the following order:

    1. Siblings of students currently enrolled at the ECC
    2. Children of SIUE Students
    3. Children of SIUE Faculty/Staff
    4. Children of community residents. Non-SIUE children are accepted on a space-available basis.
  • Once you have been offered placement at the Center, you have 2 business days to accept or decline the spot.

    1. If you choose to decline an offered placement, your name will be removed from the waiting list.
    2. If you choose to accept an offered placement, arrangements will be made to provide you with an enrollment packet which includes a Parent School Agreement. Registration fees will be due upon receipt of this signed contract.
  • Notification will be sent once a year requesting confirmation whether you are interested in remaining on the waiting list. A response from you is required if you wish to remain on the waiting list. Your child will be moved up (with priority) to the next age group waiting list when it is appropriate.


  • Parents are required to visit the Center with their child before entering the program. Completion of a number of forms is required by the Friday prior to the child's first day of attendance.

  • Parent School Agreements (enrollment contracts), including verification of SIUE affiliation, are due upon enrollment and thereafter upon registration each Semester. Your child will not be enrolled for the semester unless we have all the necessary paperwork.

Contract Periods, Changes and Minimum Usage

  • Parent School Agreements (contracts) are based on the academic calendar (semester). Each term parents have the opportunity to request the schedule of care needed for the next semester (i.e. full or part time; number of days of the week, etc.).

  • The Center requires a minimum usage of two full days or three half days per week.

  • All children enrolled in the Center are expected to attend continuously through the year. If a child is withdrawn from the Center for any reason, placement upon return cannot be guaranteed unless minimum usage is maintained throughout the leave.
