New Horizons
The officers for NEW HORIZONS for 2006 - 2007 are:
 | Kelly Abbott, a senior from Bethalto IL, is the president of New Horizons. Kelly is working toward a major in Psychology, a minor in Sociology and expects to graduate in May of 2008. This is Kelly’s first year as the president of New Horizons, and she has been a member of the board of the Spina Bifida Association of Greater St. Louis for four years. Kelly hopes to bring knowledge and new ideas to the organization as well as experience. |
 | Joseph (Joey) Avellone is the vice-president of New Horizons. Joey, a junior, is from Belleville IL majoring in Speech Communication with a minor in Political Science. Previously Joey was a member of the Board of Directors of the Paralyzed Veterans of America for 3 years, being their Sports Director for 2 years. It was during this experience that Joey developed political aspirations that he hopes will materialize after he graduates in Spring 08 from SIUE. He continues to advocate for rights for all veterans, especially paralyzed veterans. |
 | Ashley Guntle, is a sophomore from Macon IL and the secretary of New Horizons. Ashley is seeking her major in Special Education with a minor in Psychology. |
 | Merry Baldwin, from Waterloo, IL, is the treasurer of New Horizons. Merry, a 19 year old freshman this year, plans to major in Social Work. |
