THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED "CELEBRATE ABILITIES"

David Grassi as he comes across the finish line with the top time of 17:06.02 for the male wheelchair racers.

The Jane Floyd-Hendey Seventh Annual 5K Roll/Run/Walk Celebrating Abilities Race was held on Sunday, April 20, 2008.  Everyone, whether they rolled, ran or walked, seemed to enjoy the great weather and each other's company.  Total registrants for the 2008 race was 348 participants.   Kelsie Kellen was the overall female wheelchair racer with a time of 20:24.15 while David Grassi had the top time for the male wheelchair racers of 17:06.02.   Brent Burks was the overall male winner with a time of 17:58.0 and Diana Kamadulski taking the title for the overall female winner with a time of 21:16.8.  Way to go, Kelsie, David and Brent and Diana!   First, second and third place medals in thirteen different age divisions were also presented.   You must have Adobe Acrobat to get the 2008 5K Race Results.   The SIUE School of Pharmacy was recognized for having a team of 30 pharmacy students who participated.

A special thank you to all participants as well as all of the great volunteers who helped us "celebrate abilities."
