Overview — SIUE Cougars

As an NCAA Division I program, SIUE Intercollegiate Athletics provides academic opportunities for deserving student-athletes, including many first-generation college students, bringing distinction to the University and excitement to campus life through the highest level of intercollegiate competition. Our student-athletes are engaged members of the campus and metro-east community, putting academics first and giving back through community service.

With 17 national championships in the program's history, SIUE Intercollegiate Athletics has defined excellence at all levels of play for decades, providing opportunities for students to understand the rewards that come from dedication to a larger purpose and to develop their personal, physical and intellectual skills. Although no goal exceeds our mandate to educate and graduate students, we are committed to teaching our student-athletes essential skills and values of sportsmanship and citizenship that will encourage them to contribute to their community, state, and country for the rest of their lives.
