Group Fitness

Campus Recreation offers classes for all fitness levels. You can expect to be encouraged and challenged by our enthusiastic instructors! Each class is uniquely designed to give you a great workout and keep you coming back for more. Classes are free for all SFC members with the exception of our specialty classes. Class size may be limited due to equipment and space requirements, and instructors may not allow you to participate if you arrive late and/or miss the warm-up exercises. Campus Recreation reserves the right to cancel any class due to low attendance.

Exciting news!

You are now able to fulfill your health experience credit for general education through your participation in yoga/power yoga and/or belly dancing!
This means you now have the option to take one of these group fitness classes in place of a health experience course.
Pre-registration required!  Visit the Student Fitness Center Reception Desk for more information!

Specialty Class Date and Pricing

The below classes will fulfill the health experience requirement for general education! Preregistration and class attendance is required to receive credit. Contact Fitness Coordinator, Amanda Couch at 618-650-5392 or amcouch@siue.edu if you would like to be added to the health experience credit roster. Please see below for specific class requirements.

Yoga
Pre-registration and a one-time $15(students)/$25(members) class fee required. Fee allows you to attend any style of Yoga classes offered. Sign up at the Student Fitness Center Reception Desk today!

Participants interested in using yoga or power yoga to fulfill the health experience requirement must participate in 10 yoga and/or power yoga classes throughout the semester. A mixture between both traditional yoga and power yoga is allowed. A separate sign roster from the registration sign in will be available at the end of class to verify your participation. Contact Amanda Couch, as listed above, to be added to the roster.

Power Yoga
