Cougar Lake

Cougar Lake Recreation Area Pavilion

The pavilion located at the Cougar Lake Recreation Area is available for picnics and gatherings for individuals or for groups of up to 100 people. Reservations may be made by calling 650-BFIT. Pavilion rental is $25 per day.

Amenities include:
	Picnic tables	Electricity
	Seating for 100 people	BBQ pits
	Covered picnic shelter	Water hydrant
	Volleyball court	Open field area

NOTE: Pavilion rental does not provide the user with access to the Cougar Lake Pool or Marina.

Cougar Lake Marina - Reopens August 2008

Use of sailboats is dependant on the person taking a lesson and showing competency with these boats. Lessons may be scheduled during normal operating hours by calling 650-3177. The Marina may also be rented by groups for $40.00 per hour, which includes the rental of canoes, peddle boats, and row boats. If you would like more information regarding the Marina, please call 650-2348. All Rentals are Free for Students.

Fishing

Fishing is allowed in Cougar Lake, but a valid Illinois fishing license is required.

Boating

Boating is prohibited on Cougar Lake. Only University owned watercraft are permitted on Cougar Lake during University sponsored events or activities.

Swimming

Swimming or wading is not permitted in Cougar Lake.
