| From weekend biking, caving or climbing trips, to skiing down the beautiful slopes of Colorado, Outdoor Recreation offers a variety of exciting opportunities to experience the great outdoors. Our primary goal is to provide opportunities for individuals to gain a greater appreciation, awareness, and understanding of our natural environment. Participants visit some of the most beautiful places in the United States, learn more about themselves and others, and make lasting friendships. You can register for an Outdoor Recreation trip by completing the General Trip Application or by visiting the Student Fitness Center reception desk. Kayaks are now available to rent from the Student Fitness Center to help you explore all the great streams, rivers, and lakes in our area! Stop by Equipment Issue to make your reservation and be sure to fill out a release of liability waiver. Please keep in mind that no watercraft is permitted for use anywhere on the SIUE campus, except during special events. | Notice: Our week-long trips have a mandatory planning meeting that lasts approximately 1.5 - 2 hours. All participants are required to attend meetings in their entirety. The meeting time and date for each trip is noted on the trip registration form. Please make note of the meeting schedule upon registering for trips. In addition, all trip participants are required to have health insurance. | |
