 | Our Indoor Pool has six 25-yards lanes, a low diving board, and adjacent men's and women's locker rooms. It is ADA compliant and offers a variety of water fitness activities.

 | Swim Lessons | | Adult Beginner Lessons | | Currently, there are no adult beginning swim lessons scheduled for the Indoor Pool. See Private Swim Lessons for adult swimming instruction. | | | Saturday Youth Lessons | | Registration available at the Student Fitness Center front desk from February 25th - March 20th. Classes take place at 10am and 11am every Saturday (Dates to be announced) Child of Student: $18 Child of Faculty/SFC Members: $27 | | Preschool - Level 1: Most basic elementary aquatic skills. Good attitudes and safe practices around the water are emphasized.
- Level 2: Build upon level 1. Independent locomotion skills are started. Simultaneous and alternating arm and leg actions on front and back are explored
- Level 3: Skills are performed independently. Coordination of arm and leg actions in both simultaneous and alternating movements is improved.
School-Aged - Level 1: Basic elementary aquatic skills. Being comfortable and enjoying the water are emphasized. Good swimming habits are learned.
- Level 2: Beginning of true locomotion skills. Fundamental skills are practiced. Coordination of arm and leg actions in both simultaneous and alternating movements is developed.
- Level 3: Builds on previously learned skills. Most strokes, or stroke components, are introduced, as well as most water entries.
- Level 4: Develops confidence in strokes learned so far, and all strokes are introduced, as well as flip turns.
- Level 5: All strokes are refined and distances increased. Flip turns on both the front and back are developed.
- Level 6: Fitness Swimming, Personal Water Safety Skills & Fundamentals of Diving - Participants at this level may choose which of these three areas they would like to pursue.

 | Private Lessons | | Are you looking for lessons that you coordinate and fit exactly into your schedule? Then private lessons are a possible option. These lessons are arranged between yourself and an instructor based on your schedule and availability. They are offered to all students, faculty, staff and SFC members, and are a great option for those looking for individualized instruction. We will match you with an instructor that can help you achieve your goals, as well as fit into your schedule. Each session is 30 minutes, and the pricing is listed below.  | Pool Rules & Regulations | | - General Rules
- Swim only when a lifeguard is on duty.
- For safety reasons, please follow the lifeguards’ instructions at all times.
- No running is permitted on deck.
- Diving is not permitted in the shallow end.
- For health reasons, please do not use the pool if suffering from any skin or communicable diseases or open wounds. Bathing caps are required for all persons with shoulder length hair. Gum is not allowed.
- Parents must watch children at all times.
- Food and drinks are permitted only in the spectator area and only during approved events. However, water bottles may be used if they are made of a non-breakable material and contain only water.
- An approved swimsuit is required. Denim jeans or cut offs are not permitted.
- No hazardous activity or foolish behavior is allowed.
- Do not wear street shoes when walking on the deck of the pool.
- Only one person is allowed on the diving board at a time.
- All back dives are prohibited to ensure your safety.
- Proper I.D. must be presented to the lifeguard before using the pool.
- Use of scuba equipment is prohibited during lap and recreational swims.
- Family Rules
- A parent or guardian must accompany children under the age of 16.
- Children are allowed to use USCG approved personal flotation devices (PFD's). In addition, the child must be directly supervised by a parent or guardian in the water while using these devices.
- Individuals who are unable to swim the width of the pool may not dive.
- Members may bring only immediate family members into the Vadalabene Center Pool during Family Swim periods, unless a guest pass has been purchased.
- Family/Step is defined under the Family Access Privileges.
