“Give Kids A Smile Day” is a national one-day event in February sponsored by the American Dental Association which provides free dental treatment for under served children.
Each year, “Give Kids A Smile Day” treats hundreds of area children who may not otherwise receive dental care. Thousands of dollars worth of free dental treatment is provided, including examinations, x-rays, cleanings, fluoride treatments, sealants, fillings and extractions.
The SIUE School of Dental Medicine Alton Campus hosts “Give Kids A Smile Day” on a yearly basis for the Metro East region in conjunction with the Madison District Dental Society and the St. Clair District Dental Society.
