National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center

The National Corn-To-Ethanol Research Center (NCERC) at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville is the only facility in the world that fully emulates both a corn wet-mill and dry-mill commercial fuel ethanol production center. Expansion of fuel ethanol markets by using renewable feedstocks like corn is a national priority and an important part of the energy bill before Congress today.

The National Corn-to-Ethanol Research Center is located in University Park, a 330-acre portion of the 2,660 acre campus of SIUE that has been designated as a research and technology park.
