Important Information About the SIUE Commencement
We want Commencement to be a memorable and safe occasion for all graduates. We ask that all our guests be respectful of the following instructions:
- Guests are requested to stand during the presentation of the flag and processional.
- All guests should remain seated for the duration of the ceremony.
- Guests will NOT be allowed to save seats.
- Once the Vadalabene Center has reached capacity, guests will be directed to the overflow viewing room where the ceremony will be simulcast.
- Late comers also will be directed to the overflow room.
- Guests who are disruptive will be asked to leave. Bull horns will be confiscated.
- Guests may take photos from their seats only.
- Guests are asked to exit the building immediately following the ceremony in order to prepare for the next ceremony. We recommend that you make plans with your graduate to meet in a designated area outside the Vadalabene Center after the ceremony.
