Strategic Plan Committee Meeting

The meeting was held in Founders Hall 2300.
The group continued dialog on the Mission Statement phrases that were being discussed at last meeting.
These phrases were agreed upon (although those that are bracketed will need further review):

The Committee began scheduling Open Forum meetings. Paul provided a list of tentative dates at the MUC and Alumni Hall from which the group could choose or modify. Some preliminary dates and times, some of which were later modified, were scheduled:

Paul advised the group to designate someone for each meeting to take notes. Eventually all the notes will be compiled for continued discussion. There was a suggestion that once all the feedback is compiled, a smaller writing sub-committee would be chosen to assemble the draft MS into a coherent statement.
Rhonda Comrie provided a handout about some general guidelines in conducting the Open Forum meetings.
Once the dates are finalized for the Open Forums, Paul will send out via Announce Lists for campus community.
Next meeting: Friday, December 14 at 2 p.m., Founders Hall 2300 (same room)
