Southern Illinois University Edwardsville's Career Development Center hosts career fairs annually to help employers and recruiters connect with students and alumni for full-time career, Co-op, Internship, and higher education opportunities. October Career Fair and Career Network, are held in the fall and spring term respectively, for candidates from the College of Arts & Sciences and the School of Business and Engineering. An Education Fair is held in March each year for school districts and agencies seeking teaching candidates from the School of Education. A Health Careers Fair is held once annually for employers seeking candidates from the SIUE Schools of Nursing and Pharmacy and other health related majors. On November 5, 2008, SIUE hosted its first Graduate School Fair to introduce students and alumni to the many higher educational opportunities that exist at both at SIUE and nationally for them to pursue.
All career fairs are booth style, and electric outlets are available. Since space is limited and booths are filled on a first come first served basis, employers, higher education recruiters, and school districts are encouraged to register early.
