An assessment designed to identify personality preferences and match them to related career fields. An excellent tool for self-exploration, the MBTI is often given to students wanting exposure to a wide variety of potential careers.
Assists you in identifying your interests and skills pertaining to the world of work. The CISS successfully integrates these qualities into a comparison of needed interest and skill levels for specific occupations. Superb instrument for comparing careers to activities you enjoy.
A self-guided, computerized, career exploration program designed to identify your interests and work values. From this information, the program generates a list of careers that might warrant further consideration. Also provides a database of career information to aid in researching occupations. You can access SIGI+ through your Cougar Jobline account. SIGI+ will appear as a link on the top menu once you login.
Developed by John Holland, the SDS is a self-administered, self-scored and self-interpreted tool. The underlying theory is that people, occupations and work environments can be classified into six categories. People who choose careers that match their own types are most likely to be both satisfied and successful. Your SDS report can help you to understand more about yourself and how your individual skills and interests are related to your career choice.
*The MBTI costs $2.50 per instrument. The CISS costs $8.50 per instrument. The SDS costs $3.00 per instrument. There is no charge for completing SIGI+. Prices above are for currently enrolled students or alumni less than one-year postgraduation. See fee section for complete cost details.
