Springfest 2017: April 17-23

Springfest History:

Springfest is the longest running annual event on campus. This event features such traditions as a giant banana split in a canoe, an outdoor activities fair, and cougar karaoke. Each year features a different theme which is accompanied by themed events. Monday, April 17

*Banner Competition - At 8am, Student organizations will be allowed to pick up their banner to decorate. Banners must incorporate the SpringFest theme and their organization name. Banners will be due to the Kimmel Student Involvement Center Front Desk by 12PM on Tuesday! 

 Springfest First Pitch! (11am – 2pm) Stratton Quadrangle – Enjoy free food, play games, win promotional prizes, and learn more about the upcoming events!

*Lip Sync Contest (6:00pm) Meridian Ballroom – Come support your fellow students and/or organization as they battle it out on stage!

Tuesday, April 18

*Baseball Relay Race (12:00pm) Meridian Ballroom – Watch your organization run around the bases as fast as possible while performing baseball themed tasks and try to get the fastest time!

Hotdog Eating Competition (1:30pm) Goshen Lounge – Compete with your friends and other students to see who can eat the most hotdogs. Winner will receive recognition and a special prize!

Angels in the Outfield: Co-Sponsored by Student Government and Woodland Area Council (7:30pm) Woodland Bowl –Come enjoy a movie, as well as free popcorn and drinks. Also, remember to bring a blanket!

Wednesday, April 19

 *Student Organization Fair (11am – 2pm) Stratton Quadrangle - Support and learn more about our student organizations by purchasing homemade goods and picking up their promotions. 

Giant Banana Split: Sponsored by The Bank of Edwardsville (12pm) Stratton Quadrangle - The Bank of Edwardsville and the Campus Activities Board co – sponsor this delicious annual tradition. Come grab a FREE banana split in a canoe!

Fitfest: Sponsored by Campus Recreation (4pm – 7pm) Student Activity Center – Visit Fitfest to meet vendors from on and off campus, eat food, win prizes, and get a free fitness assessment!

5K Glow Run (8pm) The RecPlex - CAB and Campus Recreation are inviting you to the Second Glow Run. Run through our Glow in the Dark course starting at the Rec Plex. Register at There will be a limited number of t-shirts available for SIUe students and Glow in the Dark glasses and wristbands.

Thursday, April 20

 Jersday Thursday Contest (9am – 4:30pm) Kimmel Student Involvement Center – Stop by the Kimmel wearing your favorite jersey. You will be entered for a chance to win free Cardinals tickets!

 *Student Organization Fair (11am – 2pm) Stratton Quadrangle - Join all the student organizations in the quad again for games, giveaways, and great food!

Nicole Byer (7:00pm) Meridian Ballroom – Girl Code star and comedian Nicole Byer will perform on stage at our Meridian Ballroom in an unforgettable show. Tickets can be purchased at the MUC Information Desk. Tickets are $5. 

Sunday, April 23

 Cougarpalooza: Sponsored by Woodland Area Council (5pm – 9pm) Woodland Bowl - Woodland Hall will celebrate the end of the year with this annual event. There will be free food, inflatables, games, and lots of fun!
