    Monday, April 18

“Wet T-shirt” Contest
Stratton Quad
12:00pm

Springfest, SIUE’s longest running tradition is back and we’re giving away free t-shirts!  Complete our wet ‘n’ wild challenges and you will walk away with this year’s Springfest themed tee.


Moonlight Canoe
Cougar Lake
7:00pm

Join Campus Recreation in exploring Cougar Lake under the full moon.  Canoeing equipment will be provided as well as a star chart to identify constellations.  There will also be a bonfire with SMORES and soda! Register early at the student fitness center or just show up with your student ID.


Tuesday, April 19


Tricycle Races
Stratton Quad
12:00pm

A lost tradition at SIUE is coming back this year and it’s sure to be wet AND wild.  Come to race or come to watch.  Students will race around the Quad as spectators throw water balloons and shoot water guns at them.  Just bring yourself and CAB will provide the ammunition and tricycles.

 

Cardinals vs. Nationals
Busch Stadium
7:10pm

Join CAB for an evening at Busch Stadium when the Cardinals take on the Washington Nationals.  Tickets are $12 for SIUE students and $14 for everyone else and are available at the MUC Information Desk on March 13.  Need a ride?  Join us on the chartered bus.

Aqua Battleship
Vadalabene Center Pool

8:30pm-10:30pm

Grab two friends and head over to the Pool.  Teams of three will compete in live action Battleship where you will douse other teams canoes with water in the hopes of sinking them!

Play carnival games and taste test some of SIUE’s finest.

 

Build Your Own Aquariums

11:00am-2:00pm (while supplies last)

Create an underwater world for your new pet goldfish.  Choose colored rocks and foliage that best fit your fish’s personality…or your room decor.

 

Cougar Karaoke

Join CAB for this classic event.  Have you ever wanted to be a rock star?  If so, this event is for you.  Sing your favorite timeless song and become an SIUE star. 

 

Beach Party on the Quad

2:00pm-5:00pm

Everyone’s invited to a party on the Quad where you’ll enjoy free music, food, a water slide, and other great activities!  So, wear your swimsuit because the first 100 to get wet ‘n’ wild will get a Springfest beach towel!

Enjoy a viewing of this pre-home release blockbuster (procured through Swank Motion Pictures ©).  Come dressed in your best, appropriate Tacky Tourist or Funny Sunbather costume.

Spin Art Frisbees and Sunglasses

Show off your artistic skills and personally design your own Frisbee or Slit-style sunglasses to use all summer.

Come watch and cheer on student organizations as they complete challenges uniquely designed for this year’s Springfest. Challenges could include eating, drinking, physical activity, or anything else Campus Recreation has up their sleeves.  It’s sure to be an entertaining and wild competition.

Come see Bob Saget live at SIUE and enjoy his stand-up comedy routine.  Tickets are $10 for SIUE students or $15 for general public and are available at the MUC Information Desk.  Limit of two tickets per ID.  Mature audiences only.  Must be 18 or older to attend.
