19 Cougar Kids Saturday--It's Electrifying 10:00Am MUC Center Court
You’ve seen it streak through the sky, and may have not even known it….electricity!  Come learn how electricity is made naturally all around us.  You will learn about how we use it, and get to see some cool demonstrations!  Bring your thinking cap because everyone will get to participate, and make a special project to take home.  Tickets are free for SIUE students and $3 per ticket for faculty and staff.  Tickets can be picked up at the MUC Information Office.  For more information contract Rachel Reitz at rlaruss@siue.edu
22 Just 4 Laughs: Jordan Carlos 7:00PM Bluff Hall Multifunction Room
You won’t want to miss this up and coming star as he performs at SIUE!  Jordan Carlos is a fixture on the New York City Comedy Scene.  His numerous TV appearances include a recurring role on Steven Colbert’s “The Colbert Report” where he plays “Alan,” Steven’s long-suffering black friend.  Other TV appearances include VH1, Spike TV, Fox, and several national TV commercials.  There will be free snacks and prize giveaways.  For more information email Kristin Hoover at krhoove@siue.edu

Are you good at seemingly useless trivia? Then get some friends and show off your knowledge at the College Bowl Tournament! The winning team gets to compete against other universities in Illinois and Indiana. 27 Sesame Street Live: Elmo Grows Up 4:30PM Scottrade Center
When Elmo and his Sesame Street Live friends think about growing up, it's a musical show-and-tell! Bert dreams of becoming a forest ranger, Telly longs to be a cowboy and their newest friend, Abby Cadabby, wants to be a Fairy Godmother just like her mommy. Elmo thinks about becoming a 'weather monster,' but has a hard time predicting his own forecast-he wants to be anything and everything all at once! "When Elmo Grows Up" includes lessons on perseverance, teamwork and the power of imagination. 29 The Debate Over Pornography with Ron Jeremy 7:00PM MUC Meridian Ballroom
Pornography is a multi-billion dollar industry in the United States alone, but serious discussion of the issue is rare. Is it degrading to women, or empowering? Is it an addictive and destructive habit, or a window to a fun fantasy world? In this intelligent and multi-faceted debate, all aspects of the Pornography issue are discussed and examined.  Ron Jeremy (perhaps the world’s most well known porn star) will debate Michael Leahy (a former porn addict and founder of the anti-pornography group Bravehearts).  For more information, contact Kevin Coppinger at kcoppin@siue.edu.

Just 4 Laughs: Retta 7:00PM Woodland Hall Multifunction Room
RETTA was born to immigrant parents in what is often known as the armpit of America... Newark, New Jersey. Upon graduating from Duke University, she went into the pharmaceutical research field and soon found out that drugs were not the way to go. She left the chemistry job and moved to Los Angeles for a life in comedy. She immediately found success at the open mics and soon was showcasing at NACA conferences. During the past 5 years, RETTA has traveled to every state in the union sharing her stories about family and friends and even those not-so-happy people at the popular fast food chains. Her comedic stylings have gotten her a half hour special COMEDY CENTRAL Presents - RETTA; Premium Blend & sketch work on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno". Celebrate heritages with us this Saturday!  Learn about different cultures and how each one is important.
