DOUG ASCOLI, PMP

Mr. Ascoli, a licensed civil engineer, has 29 years of project management experience. He has served in various roles on projects from project support to project manager. His background includes experience working on projects in diverse fields which include: road and bridge, power plant, telecommunications, application development, and merger/acquisition. He has implemented two project  management systems in two business areas of Ameren, including a Microsoft EPM solution in 2003. He now works in a PMO in IT with his most prominent role being the program manager on a major IT initiative at the Callaway Nuclear Power Plant. He is also leading an effort at Ameren to implement a project portfolio management process in IT.

ROBYN BERKLEY, PhD

Dr.Berkley is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at SIUE. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in Human Resources Management and Organizational Behavior.  She has published articles in the Academy of Management Learning and Education and the Journal of Small Business.  She serves on the editorial board for the Employee Rights and Responsibilities Journal.  Dr. Berkley's research interests are in the area of diversity, discrimination, and sexual harassment. 

JIM BOSTICK, PMP

Mr. Bostick has more than 36 years of information technology experience, both in the military and with industry. In the past 12 years, he has managed more than 50 small to medium-sized projects and is a project management master coach, teaching project management for his company.

Mr. Frick was Director of Information Systems for Supplier Management and Procurement, Material Management, Manufacturing, Quality, Business Resources, Engineering, and Product Support for most of the Boeing Company’s largest development projects (including the F/A-18 Bomber Program) during the 10 years preceding his retirement in 2005.

DAVID HUNTER, CPIM, CRIM

Mr. Hunter has more than 22 years of experience in Program, Project and Earned Value Management, the majority of which was working on U.S. government programs.  His focus for the past two years has been on implementing the Boeing best practices across Boeing IT and he is considered a "Best Practice Expert".  He facilitates a number of program and earned value management training classes within Boeing and is working toward becoming a certified Lean facilitator.

OZZIE L. LOMAX, PMP

Mr. Lomax is Manager, Regulated Combustion Turbine Generators with Ameren Union Electric.  He’s responsible for 15 gas fired power plants, generating 3,000 MW of electrical energy.  He is also responsible for Generation Strategic Planning and O&M budgeting.  He’s held positions with AmerenUE of Manager, Strategic Projects, and Plant Manager Meramec Generation Station. 

Prior to joining Ameren, Mr. Lomax worked for Kansas City Power & Light Co.  for 22 years.  Mr. Lomax has been involved in launching corporate Project Management initiatives at both companies and lectures on project management at the professional and University level.    Mr. Lomax has a BS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology – Southern Illinois University 74’, and an MBA with a Project Management Concentration from SIU-Edwardsville.. 

Mr. Lomax sits on the Southern Illinois University –Carbondale College of Engineering Advisory Board, and SIU-Edwardsville School of Business Project Management Advisory Board. 

MARY SUE LOVE, PhD

Dr.Love is an Associate Professor in the Department of Management and Marketing at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.  She holds a Ph.D. in organizational behavior and theory with minors in social psychology and organizational communication from the University of Missouri, as well as an M.B.A. and a B.B.A. in management and organizational behavior from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  Before returning to school for her Ph.D., Dr. Love worked in the insurance industry, holding positions in underwriting, provider relations, and customer service. She teaches organizational behavior and leadership. Dr. Love is primarily interested in improving interactions at work and has published articles in the Journal of Applied Psychology, Career Development International, Communications of the ACM, International Journal of Management Concepts and Philosophy, Journal of Leadership and Organizational Studies, Leadership and Organization Development Journal, and Business Horizons. 
 

JO ELLEN MOORE, PhD & PMP

Dr. Moore holds a Ph.D. in organizational behavior and HR management from Indiana University, a master's degree in psychology from Illinois State University, and a dusty old B.A. in mathematics from Millikin University. In the corporate environment, Dr. Moore worked as an IT manager, project manager, systems programmer and applications programmer. Dr. Moore teaches project management, SAP ABAP programming, and the CMIS undergraduate capstone course at SIUE. Her research centers on the the management of IT professionals and technology, and she has published in outlets such as Information Systems Research, MIS Quarterly, Academy of Management Review, Communications of the ACM,
and HR Magazine.

ANNE POWELL, PhD

Dr. Powell holds a Ph.D. in Management of Information Systems and an MBA from Indiana University, and a B.S. in Marketing from the University of Evansville. In the corporate environment, Dr. Powell worked as a programmer, programmer/analyst, systems analyst, and IT liaison. Dr. Powell teaches Systems Analysis and Design at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research centers on the acceptance of technology by end users, with an emphasis on how virtual team work has impacted organizations and individuals. She has published   in outlets such as Information Technology and People, Database for Advances in Information Technology, and Information Systems Management.

LAURA SWANSON, PhD

Dr. Swanson holds a Ph.D. in operations management, an MSM and a B.S. in industrial engineering, all from Purdue University. Dr. Swanson worked as an industrial engineer for ALCOA where she prepared capital equipment justification packages, and maintained cost reduction programs. Dr. Swanson teaches operations management and quality management at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Her research has centered on the effective management of maintenance resources. Dr. Swanson's research has been published in IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, International Journal of Production Economics, and Production and Inventory Management Journal.

BARB STRANG, PMP

Ms. Strang retired from AT&T after over 22 years of service with a wide variety of experience in Information Technology and Finance.  She is currently employed by Wells Fargo Advisors.  As a project management practitioner, she has directed work in the enterprise data warehouse, the PMO, wholesale and retail areas as well as the implementation of the SAP human resources module for payroll system consolidation.  Her experience includes cost management and financial analysis.  She is a certified educator, team coach, and instructor in project management, process development, mathematics, and the fine arts.

MARY SUMNER, PhD

Dr. Sumner is Associate Dean for Executive Education in the School of Business at SIUE.  Dr. Sumner is also a Professor of Computer Management Information Systems (CMIS), and serves as director of the undergraduate program (B.S. in CMIS). Dr. Sumner has written seven textbooks and has published over forty research papers on computer-supported  collaborative work, the management of information technology personnel, ERP project implementation, and electronic commerce.  Her research has appeared in Database, the Journal of Systems Management, Information and Management, the Journal of Computer Information Systems, and Information Resource Management Journal. Her academic background includes a Bachelor's from Syracuse University, a Master's from the University of Chicago, a Master's from Columbia University, and a doctorate from Rutgers University.
