Foundations of Project Management
SIUE Project Management Certificate programs are designed to provide the participant with the opportunity to take a focused approach to gaining or enhancing competency in specific areas of project management.
Project Management Certificate Programs are divided into two levels -
Basic and Specialized Topics in Project Management.
This highly interactive program teaches the basics of project management as outlined by the Project Management Institute in its Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK)®. As basic concepts and techniques are learned, participants are asked to work together to put them to work by developing a comprehensive project management plan including component plans for schedule, cost, human resources, communications, risk, procurement, and quality management.
Successful completion of Foundations of Project Management earns the participant a a prestigious Dean's Certificate of Completion and a total of 35 contact hours/PDUs.
Each Specialized Topics Track contains 3 workshops that have been grouped together to provide the participant with insight, knowledge, tools, techniques, and skills in challenging project management areas. All workshops include current research, best practices and practical lessons learned and are taught by seasoned project management professionals or expert university faculty. Each workshop is 7 contact hours of instruction.
Successful completion of each Track earns the participant a prestigious Dean's Certificate of Completion and a total of 21 contact hours/PDUs.
