SIUE Alum Named Economic Development and Market Brand Director of Godfrey

Southern Illinois University Edwardsville alum William Catalano will lead the growth and development efforts in Godfrey. Catalano will serve as the economic development and market brand director, a newly created position.

Catalano earned a bachelor’s in economics and political science from SIUE in 2006. He achieved his master’s in economics and finance from the University’s School of Business in 2010.

2015 Metro East Start-Up Challenge Expands to $25,000

Greg Sierra, associate professor of accounting, SIUE School of BusinessSouthern Illinois University Edwardsville’s Gregory Sierra, associate professor of accounting in the SIUE School of Business, is one of only 52, male Hispanic-American accounting business school professors in the U.S. The SIU Board of Trustees approved Sierra’s promotion to associate professor of accounting with tenure at its May meeting on the Carbondale campus.

Historic student enrollment numbers, significant job growth and a substantial increase in regional expenditures are among the notable findings in Southern Illinois University Edwardsville’s 2015 economic impact report.
