Jonathan Jones is driven to succeed. With an interest in marketing research, Jones knew that getting a master’s in this specialized field would set him apart in the corporate world. After visiting several universities, he chose SIUE. “I felt that SIUE would give me the greatest opportunity to study marketing research in an environment that caters to my style of learning,” Jones said.
A native of Bolingbrook, Ill., Jones said the SIUE MMR program has exceeded his expectations, and it’s because of the people. “The people — both the professors and the students — have been the best part of this program,” he said. “The professors are top-notch, personable and very easily accessible for students. My classmates are very diverse, and many different perspectives come to the forefront of every assignment and project we do in our classes.”
Not only has Jones learned a great deal in the classroom, his internship with IPSOS Forward Research in St. Louis has been beneficial. “The people I work with are eager to teach in the workplace and have answered all of my questions,” Jones said. “I wouldn’t trade my internship experience for the world.”
“I would definitely recommend the SIUE MMR program to all interested students,” said Jones. “Not only do the professors care about you, but you learn so much in a relatively short amount of time. Everyone associated with the program wants to see you succeed and attain your goals. I would put this program up against any MMR program in the country.”
Jones expects to graduate in August 2013.
